The Rain
Ever since i was little, i could never see the rain. I could smell it coming, hear it tumble out of the skies and shatter as it hit the pavement, feel it caress my skin like a lover leaving a trail of tiny wet kisses on my body, but i could never see its beauty. At times i longed to know what it looked like, the one thing that would hold me while i cried, even if it left me soaked and shivering. Other times i marvelled at the mystery of it all, never seeing my protector as it cared for me, never knowing what it looked like until i saw it drip from my hair onto my chest.
