State Library
My back facing the entrance to a palace of knowledge,
my senses observing and embracing my surrounds.
Everything is slow and gentle,
the movement of vehicles
as they drive past in a stretched blur,
the leaves falling from trees
at the pace of a spider navigating itself down from its web,
the white breath that fires out of my mouth
from the crisp air,
the State Library: peaceful,
Inside and out.
