Our Night Time - Water Bears
Our night time is one of loud insects,
Calling in earnest
To loved-ones, abandoned in this garden's universe.
I watch as stars dance pictures in the black,
And street lamps cast orange
Shadows through my window.
An alley cat glances past -
The Water Bears are back.
Slipping through whispers of ladybirds,
Dew on all six knees,
They dream of days in the moonlight,
When Moss Piglets sang without water
For decades
