Life Beat
My life was in my ear
Playing constantly
No pause button
Song after song
It kept me going
My drug, my addiction
But when with you
I don’t need it
Because you’re there
You’re my new fix
I can’t get enough
And the crash is terrible
In the hours were apart
I relapse
Harder and stronger then before
Beats shake the house
And the ringing phone is drowned
In waves of rhythm
I sit through life
On my couch, on my bed, anywhere
As long as I can hear
My ears will hurt
And my brain will go blank
But that’s what I want
I don’t want to be consumed
By the possibilities
The mistakes
There are so many
So many times
I didn’t know what to do
Even now, it’s here
The ever present
Bump. Bump.
