Insomnia
I've tried so long
To look beyond the glass
And through the lens of something new
Decipher riddles of my past
An ultimatum we both knew
I take a drive
To see the sights
Insomnia is setting in
Your whispers float throughout the night
An endless struggle I cannot win
To you, I've wrote
So many romantic snares
Spring the trap, a beautiful word
And now I watch the papers tear
A crumbling life I once allured
I'll bury myself in all my enticings
All we ever knew was fiction
And I will free myself from you
Love can be a fatal addiction
Please don't tell me that it was true
I will hold on hope
That my heart, I'll rediscover
Like an old friend
A hidden face, now uncovered
Please don't tell me this is the end
I will not let this rest
