Realist
Children will be children
A single track mind will not suddenly branch out
Like the many emotions hidden within them
I get so sick of children at times
Deluded that in love lies all answers
That in one individual the wrongs of the world are corrected
When really it's ignorance more than anything
Love is just a tool, it is not a weapon
It cannot defend against pain, nor repel it
Pain easily overcomes love
If it were not so, then why do breakups occur?
Another illusion, that love is unconquerable
All those children, who cannot even fathom what love is
Who believe a lasting relationship is a life-long relationship
Those who find 'the one' in anyone
Those are the worst, who give themselves away so easily
Who are ready to bind their souls to individuals
That is what children do
When you are older, you will realize
That more often than not, things die, objects die, ideals die
Relationships, love, lust, caring, they all die
Until you're left alone again
Full of regrets
I will admit, I have been a child
But I have grown
As should we all
