Last Saturday
He started talking to everybody about
dumping me

Last Sunday
My friends were hoping he was just showin' off
to the jocks
but he did it again

Last Monday
They texted me, telling me
what's goin on

But I didn't read it till

Last Tuesday
when i read everything he'd said
about being tired of my
personality
how he wanted to dump me
without hurtin' me
how he wondered who to ask out
after he did the deed

So I told my closest friends what was happening
and that for once i was happy

Yesterday, Wednesday
I woke up smiling
I finally felt free

Today, Thursday
I let all the boys look at me
i don't need him
never needed him
glad to be rid of him

.....except......

It's been five days and I still haven't got a text
or a call or whatever
telling me we're through
i need to here it from you
So that I can go on living
without worrying that i'm cheating

Five more days to go....
