A Day Lost
He sat on his iron throne
Amused by the tormented souls that lay there
There pain ridden screams like a soft melody that soothed his skin
There were many for he would not just kill his prey but also they're kin
Alas the day has come where light vanquished
In its place a cold dark night
For now the world will be proper and right
The bishop his slave told the king lies
The king listened but his counsel still lead angels to die
The sky drops tears of white each cold dark night
In pits long forgotten angels lie
His favourite place he looked upon them with no emotion in his face
He had journeyed from the 8 circles and brought with him sins that ponder and dwell in the darkest parts of hell
He had waited long for this hour where hope will die
Thus allowing the seeds of evil will flour soon men will cower
He began his march to claim the throne of gods
The clouds grew black but what little light shone bright
The believers were not alone
In this land where evil is free to roam
In the cold in the dark they radiated hope as they rallied
Pity there lives for soon they should be riddled with dread
They're bravery crushed under the fear we shed
With every battle cry
With every breath we take
They're hope will shatter and shake
But from the seeds of fear grew bravery and determination
To send these beasts back to damnation
They formed a shield they were few in number
But would strike hard with gods thunder
They readied them selves for the battle that awaited
For this was the sole purpose they were created
The battlefield caressed with red
The hills littered with countless dead
Good's existence ceased
The smell of evil reeked
The men had thought well it couldn't be denied
But it wasn't enough because they shrivelled and died.
