gladly beyond
this somewhere i have always travelled, farther beyond
myself than ever thought was possible;the world
unfurls at the slightest touch of your hand
here on my onceempty page you fill the chambers
of my heart:in winter holes bored their slow
worm-way until(along my soul)walls were
weak as cardhouses cardboardhouses in floods
the same spring floods overflowing my eyes
onto your steady page
one day my rudder broke away
and one day i folded up a page of you to make sailboat
that will fly downthegutterthroughthesewerallthewayouttotheocean
because when you surround me i am safe
when your voice murmurs lullalullalullaby
all year long in my yearning hungry ears
i finally understand there is no truth
there just is
and is is a pleasant place where
no one cries if someone says goodbye
and joy hides in the smallest sadness
and
there are smilefaces waiting
to(when you release me from your grip)
wrap me in their honeyroses arms
take me home
