Let Us Burn
My heart pumps gasoline, His temper is Kerosene.
Words strike a match, and I watch the flame lean.
I talk as if I'm fire proof, knowing I'm flammable.
Maybe I can take the heat, its warmth is manageable.
Then boom, a short fuse.
Watched us burn as our love exploded.
A grenade thrown into our spark.
Watching ashes fall from my heart.
No firefighter can extinguish us.
Have heat, apply pressure & you watch us combust.
I tried to cool things off, but my blue flame, is apart of our fate.
Watch the sun come down as rain.
Baby, just let us burn.
Then we can put our love in a Urn.
Burn.
