Wanderings
The moon is bright, the stars a-gleam
They light this weary road
Where wandering ffet look up and toward
The cheery fires of home
Past lonely mountain vast and tall
And rocks that know no sun
The wanderers' path is a distant
Over arches carved of stone
And over bridges long
North to South
And East to West
Walk straight the endless road
Heart that solitude has known
And eyes that know no sun
Return at last to land of cheery green
Where long they will rest to laugh and to sing
And age under Atumn moon
Until the road comes calling
Pathways beckon from the door
And weary feet will walk once more
Down the road to eternity
