"What Is a Writer?"
Funny you ask that, I think.
The golden question.
First I think of books
big famous published writers
Perhaps newspapers
Bigshot magazines,
Back of the cereal box
or screenplays for shows.
Then think of essays,
Cute little kid stories with
nonsenseful middles.
The single record
of a diary people
use to vent out fear.
Of insecure teens
Swimming through torrent-full lives
Just writing down words.
What is a writer?
Anybody, young or old,
Piecing together
words
