My Heart Doesn't Know
Mysterious, uncertain of how to
explain
Yearning for the right answer to the unasked question
Heated conversations beating around the bush
Excitement, with disappointment to follow soon after
Asking for what I already know, not wanting
Reality to present its self and bring down my dreams
Torment when you finally say what we both know to be true
Don't want to hear it
Outwardly unchanged, internally bleeding
Everything will stay the same, you tell me
Stupid lies is all I can reply
Never noticing my change in behavior around you
The one I thought was my best friend
Keep me awake so I don't have to dream because
Now I wish I could not want this thing I cannot have
Once you said it, you instantly moved on.
Where does that leave me?
