Troubled
I walk through the forest and saw her there
Standing there elegantly with the wind blowing through her hair
I take a daring glance her way
‘Should I go ask her?’ I wonder. I just may,
I walk and stand beside her and look up at the sky
She looks at me and lets out a sigh
I ask her gently, “what troubles you so?”
She looks down solemnly and says, “I have nowhere to go,
No place to run,
No place to be away from judging eyes that cut like knifes through me…”
I hold her close comforting her whispering,
“My eyes won’t judge you, your safe with me.”
We both gaze up at the flying birds
Their morning song could be heard like sweet music to the ears
The morning haze still wafting over
The smell of morning dew brushes by us as the breeze rolls in
She shivers slightly as the wind licks our skin like an icy hand
I hold her close to keep her warm
Feeling her soft silky skin as I hold her
We both close our eyes and smile knowing that there is peace now.
