Stilts
the combination of my old cluttered side porch
wind chimes, birds chirping, tree branches swaying
and some sweet jazz drifting on the summer air
spawned the thought in my head
'lo and behold, i'm happy'
and i can't remember
if i took my zoloft
it feels good to expose my long legs
to the outside world
buoyant and grounded at the same time
like walking on stilts
