Average People
Not spider-man nor wonder-woman,
Nor Barnacle Boy or Mermaid Man.
Not even the famous Batman!
My heroes are average people.
They're not crime fighters or robber stoppers.
They can't pause time or read people's minds.
They don't have heat ray vision To burn through metal doors to rescue me,
They simply just use a key.
My heroes are average people.
To get to me they wither walk or run.
They have some normal powers like,
To lead, and to boss.
They have eyes in the backs of their heads,
To watch me at all times.
To make sure I come to no harm,
Or cause any trouble.
My heroes are average people.
They're right beside me when needed,
To respond to the call of 'Help!'
Of course, I don't have to scream it,
They use their 'superhuman powers'
And sense my needs.
My heroes are just average people.
Not spider-man nor wonder-woman,
My heroes are my Mom and Dad.
They're just average people.
