College Admissions
Oh gosh! Oh gosh!
So much to do!
I've got so many applications!
Do you feel it too?
I wonder how students,
Handle the stress.
Well?
Poorly?
It's all just a mess.
Nothing's in order,
My thoughts are all scattered,
Forgive me the imagery,
But my brain's just been splattered.
Who makes it so hard?
The institutions?
Us?
Our thoughts clearly elsewhere,
When we board the bus. . .
Our parents wait patiently,
With expectations high,
For letters, long awaited,
To inwardly fly.
WHERE DOES IT END?
I must scream in frustration.
For the stress of acceptance,
Burdens kids of our nation.
