Loyalty
Friendship
Promises made
Plans made
Promises broken
Plans forgotten
Loyalty not to me
or yourself
but to him.
I'm no longer
your friend,
He is your friend,
your lover, your life
your everything
I'm nothing
no confidant
no secret keeper
no giver of opinions
no second sister.
But I'm forgotten,
Put away on a shelf,
a doll,
you'll play with me
when he leaves,
but drop me
when he comes.
The bond
The sisterhood
The promises
The trust
The loyalty
The relationship
The hope
The friendship
is gone.
And
I
Am
Alone.
