BFFNSN?
Stop accusing me,
And maybe I’ll listen.
Stop treating others
Like they’re always lower,
And maybe I’ll care.
Funny how this friendship ended,
Isn’t it?
You can’t take no,
Yet yes only goes
So far.
Controlling,
Selfish,
Needy,
You’ve gotten much more.
I don’t want to break ties,
I just want to fix yours.
You tell me to stop,
Fixing those cables,
The ones that tie my relationships
Over and over.
I did, yes once,
But now I’m reprieving.
I’m not your puppet,
You’re no puppeteer.
Sorry to those,
For snapping what was metal;
Nearly unbreakable,
Yet I did.
I want to stop grieving,
And, dear friend, I want you
To stop treating
Others so badly.
To those I hurt,
I’ll work hours and hours,
To fix those cables,
To mend those ties.
If you’re willing,
Then help out.
I’ll meet you half way.
What a beautiful day,
It’ll be,
When we are together,
Seven not three.
No more useless fighting,
But there you are again.
You’re holding the TNT,
Ready to blow it.
All you need is someone
To tell you yes.
But all we say is no.
