I Like It That Way
In the social hierarchy,
I am nothing.
I don't have the best clothes,
Hollister, Abercrombie, or Pink.
And I like it that way.
I don't have thirty boyfriends,
Or a huge texting bill,
Or lip gloss
For every day of the year.
And I like it that way.
I don't have perfect hair,
Or skin to match.
I don't wear Jeggings
Or really short skirts.
And I like it that way.
What I do have is friends
Who care about character,
Not possession.
And I feel the same.
I like it that way.
I might not be the next top model,
Or a world famous actress,
But I just want to be ME,
Unique.
And that's the way I like it!
