I Have Questions, You Have Answers
If I die tomorrow
How will you voice your sorrow?
If today is my last day
When I’m gone will you pray?
How long
Will it take you to move on
And forget about me
Now can you see?
Before I die
I think I’d like to try
To tell you how much you mean
But my world is clouded beneath death’s black sheen
And as my last light fades
My soul cascades
My heart has over flown
But I think we’ve always known
That it would end this way
From forever and someday
I could never explain
How I became so enchained
But just in case you care
I would never ever dare
To ask you to lie
Before or after I die
Just knowing that we are still us
Makes it easier to trust
That it’ll all be okay
Still I want to hear you say
‘I love you,
Because you’re the one who
Helped me find my way
From forever and someday.’
I want you to know
That I don’t want you to go
But I can see that you feel enslaved
Even with everything that I gave
So I will say my last goodbye
I promise not to cry
But I won’t ever forget
How you were my safety net
