You tell me everyday
to get a more realistic
future plan
to choose a more reachable
dream job.
You just don't get it
I didn't choose writing
it chose me.
When I have no control in my life
I pick up a pencil and a journal
and I make up a whole new life
with new triumphs
new trajedies
and of course
new crushes
and theres always atleast a half happy ending.
When I'm writing
there's no better feeling
because I have complete control
but with that control
I feel a responsibility.
A responsibility to myself
and to the audience of my story
I'm responsible for making the characters
come to life
I'm responsible to produce and direct
a little movie
inside my readers head
and that feeling of responsibility
is the best feeling in the world.
I know writing
might not always get the bills paid
and it wont always support my shoe fettish
but
Im okay with that.
Because I know
I know
deep down inside my heart
that eventually
Im gonna make it.
There might be months
years
or even decades
of hard struggle
with minimum wage jobs on the side
but one day
the title
of my debut novel
will be known world wide
it will be a new york times best seller
and alll of the struggles
will have been worth it.
I just wish I could get you to understand
the reasons that
I Know
i'm gonna make it.
Like the fact that I love it
I love writing more than anything in the world
and mostly because
of how much I love writing
and how the words just flow out of me
I know
that the words I write
are worth reading.
