Shatter My Heart, Please
If it’s not too much to ask,
Can you please do this for me?
Now, listen, I know it sounds strange,
But you see, I know my heart is going to break.
Don’t deny it, just listen good,
Because there is something I want you to do.
Shatter my heart, don’t just break it,
Cause then it just won’t hurt,
See, if you break my heart, it’ll just be pain,
But if you shatter it, smash it to pieces,
It just simply won’t exist.
Sure, I’ll be empty,
Yes, I’ll be void,
But don’t worry; when the time comes you won’t care.
You’ll forget you even ever did.
Trust me, that’s what always happens.
Hearts don’t break even,
And some pieces just never get found.
So please, just shatter it completely,
Because after a little while,
I’ll get used to being heartless,
And it won’t feel so bad.
If we’re lucky, maybe we’ll both just forget,
The love we once had.

There's no god. There's no religion. There's only life, what you do with YOUR life, who YOU let affect YOUR life. Bad things happen to everyone, you just have to learn to deal with them.
