Star-crossed lovers, meant to be
Through the cloud, I could not see
They hated each other, though that much was obvious
I refused to believe in the flaws in us
In our own little world, happiness spread
Though his ‘adoration’ went straight to my head
The pain was clear, but I was blind
Trapped in my own state-of-mind
Now I can see, the shroud has lifted
The fate of our love, the balance has shifted
Now it is over, fallen to end
Bend to his will, never again
