Opposites attract
I sit here
admiring you from afar,
Every time I see you smile
I wish I was the one causing it,
Every time you throw your head back and laugh,
It sounds like the most beautiful melody.
I just wish you were over here and
I was the one causing that laugh,
but you’re in the arms of another.
I may be different then you,
but you’re so beautiful
I just wish that you would see my true self,
a sweet and caring person.
But all you see me as
is a person, who dresses all in black.
You’re sitting with your friends, while I’m sitting alone hoping you’ll come over.
You get up and move while your friends stay.
I hesitate but move down, I hear soft sobbing…
I quietly ask what happened and you say,
“My boyfriend was cheating on me with my best friend.”
I let you cry on my chest for a while
then you look up and kiss me
There is sparks and we know we were meant for each other.
