Break Up Pain
As you shattered me completely,
Ripped my heart in two,
Gave me an emotional beating,
I knew I’d get over you,
‘Cause if somebody loves you,
They won’t cause you pain,
At least not on purpose,
Or for personal gain,
They won’t tear you down,
Or make you feel bad,
You’ll wear their crown,
And they won’t make you sad,
They’ll treat you like royalty,
But don’t let it get to your head,
‘Cause if you mess up,
It’ll come to an end,
Then everything will come caving in,
Your heart will break,
And your eyes will fill,
How much can you take,
The pain will kill,
Some are different,
Some hurt worse,
It depends on the content,
The relationships been reversed,
You suddenly feel,
what they’ve been all along,
The hurting,
The urge to cry,
And the tingling burn,
All trapped inside,
Your emotions swarm,
Hidding inside,
like a frightened little worm,
It feels so wrong,
But it’s a park of life,
Not all love is pain,
But not all are right,
I try to hide it,
Keep it bottled up,
I’ll have to get over you,
‘Cause I’ve had enough
