The Beauty of Writing
Locked away in the heart of my chest is a box.
A magnificent piece of work which had been nipped and tucked over a million times.
Holding all the emotions I expressed to no one, until I met him.
It’s like he understands me so much.
He’s always open to hear my emotions.
The good ones, the bad ones.
The achievements, the regrets.
Best part of it all, he doesn’t care how long I talk.
I live for my journal I don’t know where I’d be without him.
He allows me to pour out a river of emotions and stories.
When I can’t tell anyone else.
When it’s all said and done my box is empty
All hurt and sorrow
Even joy for tomorrow is gone.
He pats me on the back and reassures me.
When there’s no one else around
He’ll always provide me comfort.
I write because it opens new doors.
It lets me soar in a field of lilies.
It allows me to Be Who I am and What I am.
WITHOUT judging me.
