Who Am I?
I always ask myself what’s the next step for me?
Where the hell am I going in life?
Look at me . . .
A typical black dude from the streets
Well educated
Handsome
Talented
But now, all of that doesn’t even matter
I turned the streets lose a long time ago
Yet my reputation still remains the same
Tainted
Teachers always had faith in me
Told me I would be going places in life and I believed them
They believed in me even though I never did and still don’t believe in myself
I look in the mirror and ask myself . . . who am I?
Or who am I destined to be?
Right now I’m heading nowhere fast
Sad thing about that is . . . I have the power to change that
I need a time, I need a place, and I need a starting point
I need to start trusting myself
A lot of people reprimand me because of my past
But I always ask myself what’s the next step for me?
Where the hell am I going in life?
Look at me. . .
