She Was Free
Staring onto the water
Cool breeze in her hair
She’s starts to sway to the rhythm
The ocean has created to share
She walks down the pier
Shedding her clothes as she goes
Tell she’s left with nothing
But her bare skin and long blonde hair
She doesn’t pay notice
To the few people staring
Wondering if they should be concerned
She just keeps swaying
Then she reaches the edge
She climbs up on the railing
She lifts her arms up as far as she can
Takes a deep breathe
Then dives
Deep into the ocean
Until her lungs can’t take anymore
She floats back up to the surface
Swims her way to the oceans edge
Lays down on the sand
Her naked skin exposed
She smiles
Then gets up
Finds her clothes
And moves along
No one ever saw that girl again
But she was never forgotten.
