Staring back at me
You see that girl staring into space
If you were to ask what’s wrong, she would say nothing, when in reality it’s everything
Even though I’ve been broken before I come running back for more
The darkness wakes me up; I’ve felt this emptiness before
She’s sitting there wondering what she did wrong, what she could have done differently, how she would have changed it if she had the chance; and if she had the chance to go back and do it over again would it end with the same result? That’s why she stares
Driving myself through the pain to find out I haven’t learned a thing
I never felt true love until I was with you, and I’ve never felt true sadness until you left me
Wanting to give up the longing, the sweet dreams
You’re not worth what I’m going through and yet I feel this way
I bow my head and take the loss
Half asleep, my fingers are cold, stomach is sick…I am so alone
