Ghost
He glances over at me
and I shrivel up inside.
My nerves skyrocket
as I ignore my diminished pride.
I thought I was a ghost,
the one’s you can see right through.
But as I turn to face him,
I can see through him too.
He’s just like me.
We don’t stand out.
Just cause of that
there’s love, no doubt.
So the colors fade,
as we melt away.
Together, we don’t mind.
Who’ll remember us anyway?
