Stars twinkle by
Light up the sky
Catch a glimpse with the searching eye
Moon half there
In the Cheshire cat’s sneer
Singing its song for all to hear
Fireflies zip
Dew drops drip
A breeze that blows without a skip
The sun hides
On the other side
Waiting to take the moon’s spot and shine
The melody ends
And a dance begins
Moon leaving for day to go to other friends
