Three Blind Eyes
THREE BLIND EYES:
-I watch him walk slowly down the block
being guided carefully by his loyal dog
and I envy the bond between them
as I see him feed her little treats
Which she looks at longingly then eats.
He smiles triumphantly
-His clouded, filmy eyes
tell a constricting story of all the lies
he has been told because he is blind.
They think they can trick him
and act as if he doesn't exist to them,
but to me he is the reason I am happy.
-I will sometimes help him across the road
and help unlock his front door into his beautiful home.
There are pictures of his wife in every room.
Wow, she was so beautiful.
But he fell in love with her soul, not her beauty.
He couldn't see her. His children put the pictures there.
-Three blind eyes.
His two sightless eyes that see his loved ones in his mind's eye.

This was so beautiful, it almost made me cry! I like the line,
"But he fell in love with her soul, not her beauty."
This poem was very touching, not angsty or depressing. We need more poems like this on TI. BTW, you're awesome, keep writing! <3
Very nice, I like the way that it tells a story. :)
