Once big red dogs
now reduced to puppies.
Starting over,
developing new, harmonious relationships
that will last a lifetime.
Plucked from the window
that shields their minds, protects their hearts
hands them at the bottom again
with tails tucked under.
Free of choke-hold leashes,
the universal dog house hovers
fetching new tricks for
eager minds to feast on.
Barriers busted,
limits pushed with furry paws
wanting top spot.
