Potential
His voice caresses my soul and breathes like a shiver down my spine.
I'm infatuated with the little spaces between his words,
The music I hear within each syllable.
His fingers tap like raindrops on my heart,
Filling my mind with his elaborate lullabies.
His smile so honey dew sweet it wreaks havoc upon me.
His smell, organic and rustic,
Like newly laid soil or just fallen rain makes me quiver with anticipation.
He reminds me of a summer night,
As I hear the strumming of his saccharine words finding their way inside my head.
The beat of his heart leaves me speechless,
His every inhale, every exhale takes my breath away.
His love remains dormant,
Just waiting to be found by my well played heart.
Our carefully tuned instruments will one day join to make a symphony for the world to hear.
Until that fateful day I will lie in awe of his majesty,
Even though I am the only one to see his potential for greatness.
