Broken Bottle
When we finally reached the end
We found there wasn’t much to say
Only empty broken bottles shattered in the street
Only silent abyss that threatened to swallow
And lies that threatened to murder and devour
A warning carries on the wind
Stale and dying fast
The words of an old man’s story
There was life before the plague
Faith before the storm
Love before the aftermath
And hate to kill it all
