The Time for Sharing
The cool, crisp air blows through my hair
The falling leaves make flips in midair
Big orange pumpkins watch me pass
Scarecrows glare with envy of my class
They're stuck keeping guard of the corn
From the sneaky pigeons so they mourn
Teenage boys are playing football
While the teen girls are at the mall
This placid aura will soon end
For it's time to head home to attend
A great feast to end this season
The smell of turkey gives me reason
To drool as I come through the door
I see cousins, aunts grandmas and more
Happy Thanksgiving, they greet me
My lips curve as I try to break free
From all the kisses and big hugs
People are happy and holding mugs
This is the nice autumn feeling
Thanksgiving is the time for sharing
