It's not fair
It’s not fair,
to be born “imperfect”,
and be told you will grow-out of it,
but you never do.
It’s not fair,
to have to take hundreds of pills,
or to be attached to a machine.
Just to keep your heart pumping.
It’s not fair,
to be abandoned,
by your loved ones,
and to be stuck in adoptions
for many years to come.
It’s not fair,
to have your job replaced
by robots.
Machines that can’t see, the big problems
they are creating.
It’s not fair,
to be left out.
Just because you’re short, fat, or even nerdy,
and be bullied by “perfect” people.
It’s not fair,
and it should never happen,
but yet it does,
and everyday
we try a little harder
to make the world,
perfect.
