My Room
My room is a place that’s mine, and mine only;
Where I can go when I want to be lonely.
We all need a place to relax and unwind;
Mine is my room, it is one of a kind.
A room can tell a lot about a person;
Messy or tidy, you shall not worsen.
It holds all your belongings;
Cloths, toys, drawings.
There’s a place to go when feeling lost or sad.
Go there to lie on your bed and get lost in your ceiling.
Then maybe you’ll see that life isn’t so bad.
It gives you the space you need to be happy, it gives just that feeling.
So go in your room now,
And do as you please.
Hang posters or pictures that will make friends say, “wow!”
But don’t forget to leave room for those prayin’ knees,
And be sure to count your blessings!
