Daughter
Sixteen-years old with my back to the door, and all I could hear was the family war
How could I ever be surprised, how could I ever suspect more
Am I your child or some type of charity ward?
You have hollowed out heart, but it’s heavy in your chest I try so hard to find it but it’s hopeless
Oh father please father, you wonder how I can just leave you alone but I have to let you go
Please grant me this one last request for the love of your daughter
I know I should take you back but I can only be manipulated so many times, and after awhile all of these I love you’s start to sound like a lie
You have hollowed out heart, but it’s heavy in your chest I try so hard to find it but it’s hopeless
You’re hopeless…
Always remember that I’m your baby girl, so how can I walk right out of your world? You lied to your flesh and your blood put your hands the ones you swore you loved!
Since all this pain has begun, I will forever scared of being truly loved
Oh father please for love of your daughter…let me go.
