Manipulate, Cheat, Repeat
Her life is bold like dark chocolate silk,
Eyes sharp, crisp, cold.
Her hands are warm,
Her heart is gold,
But her voice is the call of a siren.
As seashells wash away to sand,
So will her views of men and mountains.
Under her gaze, the praise she seeks
Spirals against time as Death’s opposing fountain,
For her vanity is her jealous purpose.
Like a wild pixie, she moves,
Peeling bark from forest inhabitants,
She exposes the wood, trees’ bones:
In her hunger for truth, she is ravenous.
Past Mercy’s halo, she is retribution.
Beside her love, stand many lovers,
Current, vibrant, biding time.
Before her love, another lover stood,
After her love, another will soon shine.
She is Infidelity’s catalyst.
