Typical High School Break Up
We had that forever thing going on,
that high school romance kinda thing.
The whole world was unstoppable, we were invincible.
Summer came though...who knew separation could change so much?
I did, though I tried my hardest to see you, my plans failed.
Silence came, and those three words we always said became more unspoken.
The anger grew tense, painful words were told, later were regrets.
The struggle to hold what we once had weakened me everyday, I had to stop.
My mind tells me not too, but my heart needs to.
And so we go, our separate roads God has for us.
Maybe our roads will cross again someday and our love we once had will reunite.
Let's not bring any hopes up though, because it brings the pain.
So let's just say this now,
Give me one last hug, one last kiss, one last moment.
Then we'll do our goodbye.
