She Doesn't Know
She's never seen her true face,
her true body or heard her true voice
She's never felt her true effect
never gone half blind from her light
She doesn't know she's beyond compare
and that for months she's held in her hands
the power to destroy me from the inside out
She night never know that words like these are always bubbling at the back of my throat
pounding on the walls of friendship
She might never know
for fear that if I tell her
what I wish we would become
I might lose what we are
