Always the Husband the Father the Uncle the Friend
It was a cold night
That night an important person
Left this world forever
A wife lost her husband
Children lost their father
He lost his uncle
They lost a friend
Everyone suffered
Everyone hurt
A good man
Was taken away from everything
From everyone
Who would be there
To walk Mara down the aisle
Who would be there
To help Sam with his first girlfriend
It pained everyone
To think of such questions
To think of the husband
The father
The uncle
The friend
That they all lost
For a while
They didn’t know how to survive
How to move on with their lives
As time goes by
They get stronger
Piecing the pieces of what is left
Back together
Everyone knows
It will never be the same
But with the help
Of family and friends
They take each day
One step at a time
Although they know
He is not with them physically
He will always be there with them
In their minds
In their hearts
In their souls
He will always be there
Watching over them
Protecting them
Being the husband, the father, the uncle, the friend.
