Superglue
I've locked up my heart
In a hard case of glass
So no one can get to it.
But each of your smiles
Takes a hammer and chips my case
And cracks it ever so slightly.
Now and then
A few drops of the red silence that is my heart
Slip through the crevices.
In the form of hot tears
My heart slips out
And splashes on the cold floor.
Then I take my superglue
And seal the cracks you created
Locking up my heart once more.
