Unforgettable
Certain days have long seized,
But my heart seems at ease,
As waves ebb to the shore,
Like the enchantment of the seas
My mind begins to linger and you I see.
Traveling to the days of old,
Not one word was left untold.
Do you remember, dear friend?
We confided in each other’s hearts,
Beating as one from the start,
Inseparable we were never apart.
We shared secrets alone in the dark,
Tails of false love, premature broken hearts,
White lies we tried to cover up and hide.
Do you remember, my best friend?
Family turmoil we helped each other through,
A more loyal bond I never knew,
A relationship I never outgrew,
A soothing feeling, the thought of me and you.
That beautiful friendship, raw and true.
Do you recall, my old friend?
I haven’t seen you in the longest time,
A sight for sore eyes has refreshed my mind,
I will never leave you too far behind.
That trust so rare, too hard to fine.
I won’t ever forget you, my eternal friend.
