Truth hurts.
It pains us to know
what others think
of us.
They think
we are
stupid.
fat.
ugly.
mean.
terrible.
It helps us
when they lie
to us.
"You're so
smart.
skinny.
beautiful.
nice.
awesome."
Ignorance is bliss.
No knowledge
is good knowledge.
But, even better than that
is when they mean it.

A line in "Take Care" by Drake- these truths hurt and those lies heal- inspired me. I agreed with him somewhat, but then I realized that even better than a healing lie is a healing truth
