"Wishes"
Throughout the world,
Within all hearts,
By means of magic,
Among us are wishes.
Outside in the yard,
Under the sun,
On top of the grass are dandelions.
With my hand I pluck one up,
In front of my face I look at the white puff,
With a deep breath I blow,
Till all the puffs are gone,
I wish.
Up in the sky,
Above all of our heads,
Beyond our understanding,
Against the black sky shines stars.
As for me, I close my eyes.
Upon a star,
I wish.
Over head,
On top of the trees,
Before my eyes are colorful leaves.
Because of the wind,
Down they fall.
In my palm I catch one.
Near my heart I hold it,
I wish.
In spite of evil,
Inside every heart,
By means of magic,
Among us are wishes.
