Trust In Yourself
When you wake to a cloudy morning, when you make a blunder or fall;
When everyone else mocks you – when you’re left to sit and face the wall,
Isn’t there someone always, who sits faithfully by you each time?
Don’t they talk softly and reassure you, and tell you that you’ll be fine?
Do you know who that someone is, and why they care for you?
That someone is yourself – and you care because you know you through and through.
So next time things are looking down and everyone’s ridiculing you,
There’ll always be someone you can trust…and that someone will be you.
You should be bold, hold your head up high, chin forward, take the leap!
Fear not, for you’ve the best teacher, who’ll join in your laughter and console you when you weep.
Trust in yourself, for when there’s no one else to turn to,
You will have a caring friend, and that friend will be you.
