I Want Not to Love You
I love you.
You create vivid emotions
No one could comprehend
It consumes my life
Distracts me, makes me lose focus...
I want not to love you.
Never have I seen. . .
A man more marvelous than you.
Who conjures up lust,
and feelings felt by few.
I want not to love you.
Jealousy, hatred, sorrow, fear.
I need you to survive.
These bad emotions.
The burdens of love
Are worse than death,
And Heaven above.
I want not to love you.
You are my friend.
You know who I am
Is it worth it, to ruin it?
Never to be the same
After love pours from me
Onto you, Through You, like a ghost,
A ghost who is unaware,
Of what I feel
I want not to love you.
Yet I do.
